THE ZEN HABIT · BY WHINEWITHMAMA
A calmer place to plan, teach, and find your next little learning step.
Start with what you already have
The Zen Habit studios offer short activities to use together. Choose by your learner’s current skills. These starter activities supplement your teaching plan; they are not a complete K–4 curriculum or placement assessment.

Open your current lesson planning, attendance, gradebook, and record-download tools. Your existing membership access still applies.
Your existing Teacher Library
Use the K–4 teaching guides and student practice already provided through Reading Studio. Existing membership requirements apply.
A simple learning rhythm
Connect: Ask what your child remembers or wonders.
Model: Show one example and think aloud.
Practice: Try one short activity together, then invite an independent try.
Notice: Record what was easy, what needed help, and what to revisit. Use your current Parent Desk if your membership includes it.

Helpful questions
Where should my child start?
Try a short activity and observe the help needed. Choose a comfortable starting skill, revisit it when needed, and move on when your learner can explain or demonstrate it with growing independence.
Will these pages save answers or track progress?
The new studios provide on-page directions and revealable explanations. They do not save child responses, automatically score work, or award mastery. Continue using your existing Parent Desk for parent-entered records.
How do we use Watch & Learn?
Preview the linked video, watch together, and follow it with the hands-on prompt. YouTube controls the video, ads, and recommendations. The original Little Moments, Big Minds episode will be added when a published link is available.
Do children need accounts?
The studio activities do not ask children to sign in or submit personal details. Adults use the existing membership login for the Teacher Library and Parent Desk.
